Lydia Industry is one of NLT's Income Generation Projects.
This project employs disadvantaged women, working in NLT's sheltered workshop to make various products with different type of fabric, including the well-known Nepalese pashmina weaving.
Workers of this projects are disadvantaged and marginalized women; they find through this project not only a source of income, but a way to recover dignity and a place in their community. Thus demonstrating their skills, workers of this industry move towards a greater economic, social and psychological inclusion.
This industry produce range of fabric and household items. Buying these products, you not only support fair trade, but you also contribute of fight against the exclusion of most disadvantaged persons. It also supports other women in needs from sales profits.
